A Monument of Mystery: The Garages of Yerevan [PHOTO]

Editor’s note: Amid the open spaces of Armenia’s capital are tall boxes made from metal and painted with all types of color. They look like they could be used to house cars or store old knick-knacks, but usually, the contents inside these small, often-graffitied, garages are a mystery. What’s within these closed-off spaces, most passers-by don’t know, but the yards they live in are accessible to all. These specific garages were found in the Ajapnyak district of Yerevan, and some were shot on Kievyan Street, but similar storage spaces can be discovered anywhere across Armenia’s capital. Just keep a curious eye the next time you wander through the city.
